What is the stunned condition? ›

A stunned creature is incapacitated (see the condition), can't move, and can speak only falteringly. The creature automatically fails Strength and Dexterity saving throws. Attack rolls against the creature have advantage.

Incapacitate or Knockout, is a form of crowd control that renders a player or NPC unable to move or act for a short period of time. Incapacitate differs from Stun in that Incapacitate effects always break on damage, while Stun effects don't.

Since in these cases the Stunned condition is a spell effect from a spell with a non-instantaneous duration, it can be ended by a dispel magic or an ability that ends spells or spell effects, such as the Paladin's Cleansing Touch, if cast before the spell has expired.

Level 1 At level 1, exhaustion gives PCs disadvantage on all ability checks. That means whenever your PC rolls an ability check (perception, persuasion, stealth, and so on), they must roll 2d20s (instead of 1) and take the lower of the results.

If you are stunned by something, you are extremely shocked or surprised by it and are therefore unable to speak or do anything. They were stunned by the film's tragic end.

Rules Tip: Remember that the following conditions apply the incapacitated condition, so they will also break concentration: paralyzed, petrified, stunned, and unconscious. Additionally, because sleeping renders a character unconscious, it also breaks concentration.

Different spells supported by Cast when Stunned are independent: when the character is stunned or blocks a stunning hit, each supported spell rolls its own chance to trigger, and each spell that succeeds its chance check will trigger and go on its own cooldown.

Exhaustion. Some special abilities and environmental hazards, such as starvation and the long-term effects of freezing or scorching temperatures, can lead to a special condition called exhaustion. Exhaustion is measured in six levels.

You aren't immune to exhaustion from other sources, including berserker rage. Warforged don't need to rest unless they want the benefits of resting: healing, spell restoration, etc.

While characters who stay awake for 24 hours without a long rest will gain a level of exhaustion, a typical 8 hour long rest along with food and drink will reduce exhaustion by one step. Characters who are suffering from multiple levels of exhaustion will need several nights of rest to fully recover.
