Katie Taylor‘s long-awaited rematch with Amanda Serrano will now take place much later in the year, the event’s promoter has confirmed. The Irishwoman’s bout comes as a co-main event to the heavyweight fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, which had originally been slated for June 20. A postponement was required, however, when former world heavyweight champion Tyson was forced to pull out of the original date on medical grounds. The Netflix mega-event at the AT&T Stadium in Texas will now be held on Friday, November 15. ‘Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly,’ Tyson said alongside the announcement of the new date, ‘I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me and to MVP, Netflix, and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best rescheduled date for all parties.’ ‘While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out.’ The 57-year-old’s involvement in the fight came under scrutiny after he suffered a medical scare while aboard a flight late last month. According to reports, ‘Iron’ Mike became unwell during the flight and appeals were made to find passengers with medical experience to provide assistance. Paramedics then came on board after the plane landed, delaying passengers from disembarking for around 25 minutes. ‘Something special could happen’ – Irish athletes are the talk of Europe ahead of championships Earlier this week, Taylor broke her silence regarding the delay: ‘They can postpone the fight but not my work.
