Is Kappa Sigma a big frat? ›

Kappa Sigma is the largest college social fraternity in the world with more than 250,000 living members, including over 17,000 undergraduates and nearly 300 chapters and colonies located throughout the United States and Canada.

At Tulane University, we proudly recognize twenty-five fraternities and sororities, organized under four umbrella organizations called governing councils. Fraternity and sorority members make up approximately 39% of the full-time undergraduate population at Tulane.

Delta Sigma Pi is the only professional fraternity on campus exclusively for Business School and Economics students, which offers brothers the unique opportunity to create both a social and professional network within the Business School.

Membership in one of our 25 fraternities or sororities offers students a unique opportunity to have a balanced college life with a focus on academic excellence, siblinghood, leadership development, service, and responsible social interaction.

At the top of the frat world is the elite group, known as the Big Six—the Kappa Alphas (KAs), the SAEs, the Pikes, the Sigma Phi Epsilons, the Delts, and the Fijis.

Kappa Sigma is focused upon the Four Pillars of Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. As a values-based men's fraternity, Kappa Sigma strictly forbids hazing and fosters meaningful college experiences by offering progressive membership development and pledge education.

Costs in the first semester average $900-$1200. Thereafter they range from $600 to $800 per semester.

A first-year PNM must have earned at least twelve credit hours and a GPA of 2.5 or higher to be eligible to participate in Primary or Continuous Open Bidding (COB) Recruitment. Sophom*ore or upper-class standing PNMs must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Tulane University of Louisiana, a private, non-sectarian institution, was born. As a result of its new strength, the university was able to create the Department of Philosophy and Science, which later became the Graduate School, and initiate courses in architecture and engineering.

Nationally, Kappa Sigma leads all other fraternities with 245,000 brothers stemming from over 281 active chapters. Our chapter annually consists of approximately 80 Brothers, all of whom succeed in every aspect of the undergraduate experience.

First, you can rank them by number of members. Currently, the largest fraternity by number of members is Sigma Alpha Epsilon. You can also rank frats by the number of active chapters across college campuses. Tau Kappa Epsilon holds this distinction with 290 chapters in colleges and universities.
