The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)’s new resource page,"Solar Energy Resources for City Energy Planning," aims to help city energy planners set solar energy goals and turn local government energy plans for renewable energy adoption into reality, advancing the clean energy transition one community at a time. The webpage provides an overview of tools and resources for city energy planners from DOE and national labs, and overlaps with topics including codes and standards.

At SEAC general meeting earlier in 2024, the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC)'s Radina Valova led a discussion about interconnection procedures for zero-export energy storage systems and opportunities to improve state-level processes. Valova also shared findings of a study that explored the impact of energy storage integration on the grid and proposed solutions to the primary obstacles that escalate cost and delay interconnection.See more here:
